a good trade indeed

we went on a fishing trip with amy's family. on the lake side, 4-year-old amy was playing with her little music box. sienna wanted so much to play with it. amy didn't let her, "i am the boss, but you don't listen to me." sienna cried, of course.

i took out a harmonica, one of sienna's favorite things and handed it to her. "sienna, look what i got for you? " i cheered. sienna stopped crying. immediately, she turned around and gave the harmonica to amy. amy took over the harmonica, all smiling. sienna then took the little music box from amy's other hand as she let go with no resistance. she walked quickly towards a tree about 10 feet away. behind the tree, sienna turned on the tiny music box and put it on her ear, all smiling.

pear tree

a big pear tree in our backyard is full of ripping fruits now. some of them started to fall off on the ground. i brought a couple back to the kitchen. i peeled one pear and gave it to sienna.

she holds it in one hand, turns around and opens the lower cupboard door with her other hand. she holds the door and waits. i throw the peels in the garbage can underneath the sink. sienna then starts to take a bite from the pear.
