Party Time
Today is a big day for Mom and Dad as they had this huge party for about 100 people to celebrate their anniversary. The actual date was in August. So they waited until we came home.
This is considered a routine celebration right now. In the morning, we sent people over to play majhong at a tea house like facilities. We ordered 15 tables for about 60 players. Lunch was quick and simple. Then 10 tables were set up for dinner at the end of the day. In between lunch and dinner, we went to pick up beddings and altered pants. I even got to have food massage before the lunch.
In her speech, Mom summed up the four reasons to have the party. 1)their wedding anniversary 2)Dad’s recovery from a quite fatal disease that we learnt later only stood 30% chance of surviving 3) their move to the brand new house. 4) my home-coming is also counted as a good reason to celebrate.
