the Nightmere over Bad Dreams

it happened a number of times with dd sienna. like this morning, she woke up around 5:30 crying. she said she saw a big bug coming over her. i held her in my arms and patted her but tried to downplay her fear. i asked her "how does the bug look like? did you say 'hello' to the bug?" she just kept saying, "scary, i'm afraid." i put her bed time music on, still she won't let me leave. i had to stay in her room for over an hour till she fell asleep again. i missed my yoga session and i hardly had time to shower before i got out of the house. and of course she was late for her school today.

i think it has something to do with the movies that she has been watching. she would watch movies like "beetlejuice" and "E.T." over and over for many many times. she covers her head with a blanket to pretend that she is E.T. and she has a mini flash light pen that she uses to point like E.T.'s finger. she even carries the tunes of "E.T." theme music... and she actually thinks that Boo in "monster inc." is herself. is she too young for these movies? she keeps talking about them. doesn't seem to be afraid of any of the characters when she is awake though.
