tackle the tasks with ease

this is another thing. the school gives 3-3/4-year old kids homework to do every weekend. should "homework" even be in their vocabulary at this age? it's debatable. but i don't mind. this gives me a chance to see her in the act of learning.

i totally respect sienna's sense of duty in her personality. she is such a natural when it comes to doing the work she's supposed to do. and she seems to tackle her task with ease.

i suggested, "sienna, can you turn off the TV when you do your homework?" she was too busy doing two things at the same time to respond. so i said, "what about this? you watch 'dora the explorer' first. after it's over, you do your home work." she reacted this time, putting aside her paper and pencil. a few minutes later, she was multi-tasking again: writing while watching TV. and she was done with everything before i knew it.

i pretended that i didn't see her. secretly, i kind of encouraged her way of doing things. i spent half of my life pursuing education, but i was never a serious student. i want her to have fun in learning too, first and foremost.
