Game of Hide and Seek

This is the game we played as well as the book we read last night.

Sienna loves the game. She is a terrible hider. When I was It, on the count of 10, I was already getting to 8, she was passing right in front of me, seeking for a place to hide. I got a good laugh out of it. Then she kept doing it just to make me laugh. We both laughed so hard.

It so happened the book she brought home to read was also titled “Hide and Seek.” She was supposed to read page 1 – page 6. “I want to finish it.” She did, a total of 16 pages, fluently. Amazing!

She is out of 3-letter words now and well into 4-letter ones. This book for example plays on the sound that is made up by “ee” or “ea.”

“Reed, Joe and Deb had a game of hid and seek.”
... ...
“The big weed was the home base.”

... ...
“Joe ran up to a jeep.”

... ...
“Reed did not peek. Reed had not seen Joe and Deb hide.”

The story was boring. Her attitude showed not sign of boredom. I love her attitude. I hope she treats reading like a game forever.
