I Missed My Little Girl
It has been a heck of a week. We went away to attend an art expo in New York city. Daddy's works had been such a hit. Only I don't want to get into the details here and now. What made all of these possible was Sienna's huge contribution by being such a good girl. After Mommy took off for 3 days, she stayed with Rachel's family willingly knowing that Daddy was going to pick up Mommy. For the new three days, Rachel, with much tender love beyond her tender age and with some quite handsome payment for her age, took care of Sienna, along with her family. The two of them took down a 60" Christmas tree together. They cuddled on the couch. They were just amazing together.
By the third day, Sienna admitted that she missed her Mommy, then she said, "but my Mommy is coming home tomorrow." We couldn't make it home earlier yesterday. She was running out of the patience, naturally. Another factor is the family got a birthday cake for Daddy. She was so looking forward to our coming home. Yet we couldn't show up before her bed time. She refused to lie down until she was really getting worn out... We should never expect a little person to expect her mommy and daddy every minute of the day like that. It must have been a torture for her... ...
This morning Daddy went to pick her up. Just being waken up and with eyes closed, she uttered calmly and firmly, "you should have come back last night." We gave her a nick name "Tai Po" (Great Grandma). Here is the proof in case you wondered why... Then she made Daddy blow his birthday candle and yet she didn't even want to have a bite of the cake.
The day went on with her spending at school. I still didn't get to see her. I missed her terribly. Over lunch time, I bought a whole set of air-brush tattoo machine with a air pump as a present. I will pretend it's from New York. Toys are mostly made in China nowadays anyways. It's the perfect time to shower her with lots of affection without spoiling her.
