Out Of Shell to the Shore
I am so NOT a beach person. All year around, Sienna has been talking about going to beaches due to her over-exposure to the sunny & happy scenes of the water front. Last night on the phone, when P's mom mentioned the word “beaches”, I firmed up an instant determination like throwing myself out of an airplane in the air. This morning, the husband sent me off with quite a sympathetic look on his face knowing how I feel aobut going to beaches.
I took with Sienna and Rachel in one car. P's mom drove P and their dog in the other. Armed with a chair and an umbrella, I didn't feel so terrible to be on a beach after all. It was mission accomplished. When I see a happy face like this, it doesn't matter that I had my preference of just staying at home and letting another day flow by easily.
