A Very Long Pre-teen Period Ahead

Because of the sudden drop in temperature, I asked Sienna not to wear a dress without tights. Here are a few things that came out of her mouth during and after her fit:

- “You are mean, Mommy. “
- “I don’t want to whine. You made me whine, Mommy! “
- “You ruined the rest of my life.”
- “That’s why I want to stay at school. I don’t want to come home.” (Referring to what I told other people that she loves the school more this year because there is less work since the departure of her head teacher.)

At point of time, she took off the anklelate that she gave me for the Mother’s Day. Giving it another thought, she put it back on and said, “I gave you 5 more chances to be good to me. Then I will take it back.” (Her snack and TV privileges will be taken off if she whines for 5 times in a day.)

Rachel’s mom counts on me to work with her pre-teen daughter. Looks like I am working with one right at home and right now.
