A Day Without A Play Date

We came back from our trip before the long weekend, when it was the time everybody went out of the town. I ran down a long list of possible play date and couldn't find any of them.

T is in CNE, as her mom called telling us the plan when we were there yesterday.
O is out on the beach somewhere.
P is not back from his summer in Europe till Thursday. I spoke to his mother on her roaming telephone.
J's mom sent me an email message from New York calling off a get together party.
C's phone had no answering - a good sign of being away. The mother has the habit of not telling where to go when going away to prevent house break-ins.

There are other two friends Sienna asked to play with. They are too far away to make arrangement for a play date. And of course she asked for Rachel. I was like, "Give her a break! The 12-year-old has already had so much to give already."

So we ended up staying at home the whole day the whole family. Sienna behaved so well. No whine. No snack asking for more than twice. We even got our house cleaning underway. The rice chest coffee table was emptied. So was the big armoire in the living room.
