Near the Bird Nest

We received the first guests at our new home. Two of my aunts came all the way from Shanghai to visit us and the city. We went to pick up another aunt who lives on the north side of city.

I took all the three aunts and one daughter for lunc and then on a tour to the Olympic Village. Behind us stands the bird nest shaped stadium that is going to hold the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games next year.

At that time, we will probably 10 thousand miles away on our trip back to Canada, or we will be watching it at home 20 miles south east of it. In any case, we won’t be nearly as closer to it as today.
