Networking

We were going to miss it if I was firmed enough by taking Sienna to see my parents in the south. I backed off the last minute for no reason other than the dislike of traveling. So the school had a half-day today getting all the kids in for a party. To me, it was the best chance to get to know the other parents and to develop a “playmate network” like what we had in Canada. I could see at the party that Sienna is developing her own network quite nicely among her classmates. The teacher asked each kid to bring in one present for exchange with another random person. Sienna said, “Mommy, I am going to bring in 3 or 4. I need to make friends.” I guess she had the give-and-take human interaction basics figured out all right.
