Japan Trip Day 1
Since I made my plea about wanting to be taken somewhere, our old friends answered the call. Not the far away island of Tahiti or Maldives. The destination is the neighborling island called Japan this time. I consulted some other friends. H suggested that we must go to Kyoto, the old capital city before we join our companions in the second leg of the trip. We set out around 2pm, not without guilt because we left my parents behind who left for the airport a couple of hours after us. We landed in Osaka around 9pm and continued in our journey on train. Finally after nearly 10 hours, we checked in our hotel.
It was a very long journey considered the short distance. We spent 2 hours in line for custom at the Osaka airport. They even took everybody’s finger prints. That was the first time in my life. The husband was about to shout at the officials. Being such a reluctant traveler myself, I wanted to make the trip for them especially him for a much needed break. When he is not in control with his energy in front of canvas, his temperament is a bit off to say the least.
