bye bye, my big fat breakfast
i've done enough of bragging about my dughter. this is about myself on this special day of mine.
first of all, it goes to show how i am such a consistent and persistent person. for over 2 years now, every week morning on my way to work, i dropped by this "Wrap Place" to get my breakfast: a whole wheat bagel with scrambled egg, ham and lots of butter. without placing an order. without any exchange of greetings. this hardworking korean couple handed me the food and i handed them the money. the same time, same place, same people and same thing.
now, the second part shows how i am a person of an open-mind. a few weeks ago, we were visiting a friend. their other guest mentioned how oat meal has helped a diabetic patient in bringing down the sugar level. this was a light in my head. after a few days of adjustements, i switched to oats , the large flake kind. i put some cream and boiled water in a mug. oats get soaked well right inside there. no added sugar or salt. how healthy! and how cheap! i am so pleased. not strictly so, but i do follow a diabetic diet even though my sugar and cholesterol are well within the healthy range.
