"toboggan" is a new word to me

we meant to have Olivia over for a play date. but the power went out in our area for a little while. olivia's dad Mile(Ming) said, "let's do toboganning." so we lifted the garage door manually to get out our car.

Mile pulled Olivia and Sienna up the hill and seated himself with them to roll all the way down. the two girls were ecstatic. i was trying to practise on the side myself. the slope has two parts divided by a platform in the middle. every time, i forced a stop half way and never let it slide down to the bottom. Mile's encouragement didn't help, especially the last part of it, "just avoid the tree." so watching out for the tree was all i did mentally during the whole process.

i am an extremely indoor person. for that reason, i landed in canada to benefit very little from this land. i would do everyting to avoid walking in the snow for any minute. i am only slowly approaching it because of sienna. right now i don't even want to think about skating and skiing. let me take one step at a time. yesterday was the snowman making. and today is certanily the tobogganning.
