Weather Talk

Before I was a mother, I would take the day as it became to effect my moods, rain or shine. Now I am a mother who sends her daughter out of the door in the morning. So everyday I need to know how the weather men predict the mood swings of Mother Nature. It will help me prepare for the day. Would she be out on the playground or stay in the gym? There would be different attire or gear for her. I should remind Dad to be careful if a treacherous road condition lies ahead. Sienna and I would both watch the weather channel on TV. If it's gonig to rain or snow, I can get her not to wear her dress for a change...

The mother nature has not been boring this winter. We've already had two separate ice storms, a major dumping of snow, some rain, fog, and a near record mild spell. It was 17 degrees yesterday afternoon, beating the old downtown mark of 13.3 set in 1932. Last night, it said it was going to be -10. I don't know how the city was going to handle the jump from 17 to -12 (-15 with windchill).

This morning, the TV was on before the light was on in my bedroom. It was -1 in the morning. Thank God, it wasn't that bad after all. The ground is only slightly blanketed. I am hoping the weekend would turn out to be better than predicted. We've got a full schedule and will have to move around a lot in the city.
