Scary World of Web
We went to S & V's house for a party to celebrate their daughter's 6th birthday. There were pizza and Chinese take-out. We pitched in with some Chinese BBQ ducks and pork meat. Met C, a TV writer. She participated in writing a few episodes of "Max & Ruby" and "Little Bear". What an interesting job!
I showed the girls my blog as all of them are mothers of grade school kids. They were very curious and interested. But the idea being addressed most is that it must take alot of courage for me to expose my life on-line. I never thought in that light. The worry could be if you do something on the web, it might come back to hunt you in the real world.
Interestingly enough, I see web works very much like what the real world works. The web is scary, but it is as scary as the real world, no more, no less. What I reveal here though is not even 1/10 of what's going on in my life. And I am never specific about people and location. Just as much fun I get in real world, I get fun from the web. It's a completely new world. And I was right there to embrace it at it's forming stage over 10 years ago.
