My friend Abby was looking through my blog site and making comments over the phone with me. She was like, "oh, nobody commented here, poor you. I need to get my friends on here to read..."
Ok, hardly any comments from anyone. But I know for a fact people drop by and read. I have this counter thingie. I have an average of 20 visitors per day, pretty good tracking record if you consider I made no effort on net ad. Quite a few of them are regulars. I don't know who they are. It doesn't matter. I for one can live very well with mysteries. Besides, the reason for blogging is to leave a trace for myself and the loved ones. Like when you walk into the deep woods, you forget the path you come from. The blog gives you a reference like a blue ribbon on the tree branches. Mostly importantly, Sienna will read it. As the title of the my blog site sugguests, it's about her and the environment she grows up in.
My thing is that I don't go and comment on other people's site. I read substantial number of sites. I am sometimes too intense and extremely opinionated. Often times, I cannot help but make instant value judgments on things and people. I am very well aware of my power (or problem). I simply cannot go "wow, so nice." "it's good for you." without saying something else to back up my heart-felt emotions. What about if I have to say something negative then? So, no comment is a better choice for me a lot of times. Therefore, why should I expect other people to leave their comments for me?
So beginning on the last the day of the year, I am going "no comment" on my blog site... If somebody really want to sing to me or scold me, I am publishing my email on the side bar -- I am only a click away.
