No Box on Boxing Day
We never shopped on a boxing day before because we don’t believe you can actually save as much as they advertised. Also we don’t want to fight the traffic. But we were convinced last night by our friends about some places that might have some good bargains on chandelier that we need to replace in the house. So out we went around 10am going all across town to the west side. We didn’t find anything particularly appealing in the first store that we walked in. For the second store, only Lui went in because Sienna refused to get off the car. The rest of the lighting stores that we intended to go were not even open. But it was nice for three of us to be out together like that. We even got to stay at a coffee shop for a while. I got a beautiful silver laptop case for about $20 -- a complete bargain. Sienna bargained with her Dad and got herself a $9 brown cover note book that was meant for adult. She insisted that the paper was good.
Then we went for a party at Julie’s house. A few people couldn’t show up. But we really had fun. We were singing around a 100-year-old piano that needed a tuning very badly.
