Breakfast Betrayal
As much as I am a loyal friend, I am also a loyal consumer. I stick to one store or one product for what seems like forever. I don't change for some very good reasons other than the boredom. I have been on Tim Horton's bagel and coffee for a couple of years now. Recently, I switched to their breakfast sandwich with sausage, egg and cheese. Instead of biscuit, I asked for my usual bagel. The egg is not freshly made and the sausage is kind of rubbery. I could compromise all these. It last a lot long than just the bagel. Maybe too long. I was not hungry well into 2pm. Sometimes It felt like I could carry on without lunch. That's not too good. I started to suspect if they inject some kind of hormones in the sausage or egg…
So I started missing my previous breakfast arrangement before Tim Horton's' whole wheat bagel. I went back to a mama & papa's Mega Wrap place, which I had to drop because it is a little out of my way in the morning. And I read from somewhere about it's not to have eggs every day especially for Asian women. All of a sudden, these don't matter to me any more. I cannot go back to just bagel, not enough for me. I cannot go on with breakfast sandwich, too much for and not healthy looking enough for me.
The Korean mama & papa actually fry scramble eggs for you right in front of you. Bagel is toasted right on. The pepper, the salt and a piece of ham to top it all -- a beautiful sight to look at in the morning. I am very happy I made a right decision to go back to mama & papa.
I happen to know a famous business tycoon in the city who is so awesome-looking in his 70s that an author describe him as not having extra ounce of fat in his body. To achieve that goal, I have to make it a goal every day by putting little effort like that.
