Pretty a Night

Again, not a holiday person here. Sienna, like in many other instances, plays right into my disposition. I didn't need to shop for a new costume this year. She asked to be Cinderella, again. Last week, when we were at a Halloween bingo party. I pointed our to her at least 4 Cinderellas at one glance and then asked if she should try to be scary like her friend older C, who came together with us. The answer was "no" from her. I guess this is the phase where she doesn’t want to be scary, but only pretty, in her way.

We did prepare the treats for trick or treaters. Daddy made a spectaculars scary ghost drawing on the stairs and he stayed at home to attend visitors. Cinderella Sienna was out with Batman P. We went over together to J's house. They made their front lawn a scene perfect for a scary movie set.



The most scary part of the night was that I stepped on Sienna's toe back at home when I tried to open the bathroom door for her and she happened to put her foot down from her magical car. I apologized and said I didn't mean it. She said, "mommy, it was an accident." I said I had a story to tell, "on Halloween night, a big mother bear stepped on the toe of a little chicken." She couldn't stopped laughing and asked me to say that again and again.
