A Day of Reunion

It's Chinese Mid-autumn Festival today, an occasion for family reunion. We
did it with Lui's old classmates - another event of perfect timing without deliberate planning. They are huge-name artists right now in the country. We met in a restaurant's private dinning room. Two round table put together, husbands on one side and wives on the other...

We visited into Cao's studio first. A TV crew was shotting a reality-show like program, following Cao's every movement almost 24/7. They caught Lui walk in carrying sleeping Sienna on his shoulders. Then we looked over to where the cemara was turning to. We saw the magazine with Lui's painting on the cover. Clearly Lui's home coming had become part of the show.

Now, Cao's wife took out a little toy pony, that, she claimed, Lui gave them as a gift years and years ago. She brought it out just yesterday when she was looking for something that a 5-year-old Sienna could play. The crew also shot Sienna playing with the magical pony. It walks on the table and stops by itself when it gets to the edge.

I just realized having a very young kid actually helps you cheat about your age.
