The Ultimate Destination

From China's capital to where Sienna's Daddy grew up in the north to where Sienna's Mommy grew up in the south, we have been travelling for more than a week through the immense pollution and prosperity.

A few days ago, Sienna and I returned to my home city exactly the same day when we left here last year. The husband is coming to join us from his home where he is lingering on a few days more.

It's so wonderful to see my mother in a good shape after her brush with cancer. We spend time chitchatting, making a trip to the hospital for prescription, dinning in and out and sitting at the hair salon together...

My parents' home has moved quite a number times in the past decade or two. This last move last year just before my last visit moved them up one more notch in comfort and luxury. It's an area where the municipal government initially invested to attract more investments. Through tax benefits, shops, restaurants, theatres, bank branches, post office and a modern spots facility were all in place to create a mature residential town. There is also an European-style fulled tiled square with tropical trees. My parents have a two-level unit at the bottom of the 10-story building. The corner of the unit is fenced to become a garden with a fish pond, a marble table and privacy hedges. I would consider this my kind of resort even if it's not my parents' home.

  • Hey, Min,

It's important to gather together with the family, especially the parents. I am so glad your mother is being healthy. She much be very excited seeing you, your husband and Sienna.

Life is too short. I just lost my grandpa two days ago. I was so regretted that I didn't even have the last talk with him.

I can tell that Sienna already had so much fun.

    Mimi
