Please a Prince
I went home last night to find an unexpected but welcome guest Prince P. The husband brought him home when he picked up Sienna at school because they wanted to play together. P was in Sienna's class and has just begun his Grade One in the same school. We both moms decided to do more things together.
I cooked them noodles with peeled shrimps and cerelery. P said, "I am a vegetarian. I don't eat meat." I questioned, "are shrimps meat?" Sienna was quick to support, "Yes, it's not vegetable." I brought onto the table some green vegies. He said, "I don't eat anything Chinese." Sienna shrugged. I said, "But you are in a Chinese house. And we went to Japaness together, remember?" Then I made two scrambled eggs. "My favoriate!" he ate them all. How muc easier could that get? Later, his mom told me he never ate eggs like that before... This was after I warned that they better behave, or there would be no next time. He already made an effort. A prince doesn't claim to be one like a princess does. He certainly does behave like one once in a while.
