On Duty

When it comes to play date with Olivia, Sienna usually goes to visit her house. The parents say they feel easier this way because if Olivia comes to our house, the little brother will be left with no one to play. I feel a bit uneasy about it. When Sienna is over there, I either stay there, then there would be one adult in the house they have to greet and chat with. If I leave her there, it is almost like letting them baby sit Sienna. So I was very happy to take on an opportunity today when it happened that Olivia’s parents needed some time to do their last minutes’ shopping with their oldest son. I offered to baby sit the two kids in their house, with my own baby, Sienna, of course.

Before that, within one hour, I rushed to the store, grab some salmon fillets and others for tonight’s dinner and came back with a big fresh pizza for everybody. We also got a visit from T, Sienna’s other friend, who came with her mother for a short visit before they take off for Christmas. The rest of the time, I was sitting inside the sunroom and watching the kids play. The three kids are such angels. I also had my iBook to keep me company. Good time passed very fast.

Coming home, I got things ready in less than an hour to serve the salmon + seafood noodle dinner. Kids were somewhere in the house deocrating the rooms. My husband spent some time with M's wife about a book they are trying to write together. M and I were trying to play around networking 2 Pcs and 2 Macs in the house. Some good time as well.
