Celebration, Anywhere, Any time

I called my mother's cell phone last night and surprised to find that she was still at home but not on the road. I thought it was new years' day in China already. She teased me, "Oh, you foreigner!" As every year goes by, we are getting more and more buzz about the Chinese New Year in Canada. Only I don’t fuzz over any holidays I guess. Every Saturday, it's given that we gather to eat with friends. Today we planed to celebrate everything at one dinner, Valentine's Day, Uncle Raymond's birthday and the Chinese New Year. We assumed that all the Chinese restaurants were full. So we wanted to go to a non-Chinese place nearby. It was full too. We were so hungry that we couldn't wait to hop in a typical sport's hangout just next to it. We drank a mix of beer and cocktail. Sienna was stuffed with a lot of meshed potato and indulged herself in Shirley Temple. Then we came back to drink green tea over a heart-shaped cake. It turned out to be quite a celebration.
