Drama of "High School Musical"

A while ago, I heard Rachel and Sienna singing a duet. That was the first time when I ever heard of the hit show "High School Musical." I got Rachel a sound track right after that, thinking that Sienna didn't need it as she had a long way to get there. One surprise after another, I realized Sienna could sing every single song from the show with every perfect pitch. Last month, I took both of them to see a live show of the musical played by a production group in our city, during which I dozed off of course. Then I got Sienna a T-shirt with the musical. For her birthday, Sienna harvested a series of "High School Musical" products including a game, a note book, a pencil set and best of all, a DVD of the show from her fairy Godmother.

She watched the show almost once everyday. I started to like the energy and the music. Yesterday Sienna took the DVD to share it with Rachel. We left it at the Rachel's when we went for a movie. Dropping Rachel off later, I asked, "maybe you leave the DVD for Rachel to watch." Rachel said, "oh, don't worry. I never liked it from the beginning." Coming home with DVD in hand, Sienna asked me, "why doesn't Rachel like High School Musical?" I guess it surprised her and maybe she a bit hurt when she heard what Rachel said. I explained that Rachle saw a lot more stuff than her. She has more things to compare. Sienna said, "but I watch Channel 48..." She meant to say that she doesn't only watch "Tree House TV." She doesn't understand when Rachel watches the Family Channel 48, she does it to keep her company. Rachel is completely into the "Potter" world and wants to write a script for Shriek 3.

It looks like it doesn't take long for Sienna to catch up. When Sienna was born, Rachel was just her age. I clearly remember when Rachel was about 8, I asked why her mother didn't have another baby. Rachel said to me with all the earnest, "my mother is too busy to go to the hospital."
