Green Ogre Turns Really Green

One thing I learnt about going to the movies is that we should always skip the premier. If you rush to see the movie on the first day they show it, it shows that you have a high degree of expectation on your part. Then it's very likely that you will get disappointed. Since we love the first two Shrek movies so much, I thought I stood a good chance to break this rule.

On Shrek the Third's first night yesterday, we hooked up with P's family when we were exiting the school. Not having the time to eat, we rushed to a out-of-way theather to make sure that we would have the tickets. The movie is quite a flop in comparison with the previous two. It felt like the only effort they made on the third try was to cash in the past success. More techinical improvements. That's fine. More moral teaching makes it less fun. Not one song is worth humming along. Sienna and P like it. That's all it counts. I can always resort to taking a nap to make it worth. I did that today again.
