At the Risk of Being Self-important...

Leaving Canada has been quite an emotional experience for all of us. It was easier for the leaving party merely because our mind had to be occupied with challenges in the new place and with the new people. So it must be harder on our friends whom we left behind, at least for now. One of them described our departure as like somebody being murdered. Then I got a touching message from another dear friend who is known to be generous with her words. These are most appropriately said at one’s funeral. But it’s wonderful and inspiring for one to hear outside of it:

"As always, you are adaptable, optimistic, generous and very very flexible. Your will power helps you tremendously for changing habits, criticizing yourself and adjusting your views. I really, MADLY, sincerely believe a person with your talent is a gift, something to be shared, to help others who are less intelligent, less everything. I believe you, you alone can give so much to others, you can inspire, teach and show them by example how a productive and positive life can be lived."
