Yet Another Taxi Driver & A "Foreigner"
We, two moms and two kids, were going to a birthday party of Sienna’s classmate.
While we were getting into the taxi, I noticed something and said to the driver, “You keep your car so clean. It smells good too. Too bad it’s all one time deal and I cannot ask for your service the next time.”
“Oh, you can call.” He said.
“Yes?” I didn’t know I could call a taxi service here like in Canada.
“Yes, you call ‘110’.” He advised.
“That's your company. How do I find you?” I asked, innocently.
“Hahaha! Are you a foreigner?” He laughed.
“That’s the emergency number. Like '911'.” My friend, the mother of Sienna’s friend, reminded me, laughing as well.
Another taxi driver that brightened my day. And this experience of being a foreigner in my own country is truely amusing sometimes.
