Japan Trip Day 4

We went to a hot spring site over 1,000 meters above the sea level. Imagine a few millions of years ago, an volcano has left the site still steam hot and smoky. On site, they sell eggs boiled by the steamy spring water. The egg shell are black from the heavy chemicals in the water. Mostly definitely toxic. But it’s all part of the experience. Also on site, the guy sells roasted chestnuts from a machine that looks like a cannon. This picture is an accidental shot that make you think probably the roasted chestnuts some get the steam energy from the volcano site or it generate steam to it.

We went spiral-ward to the waist of the mountain. Then a cable-pulled train sent us to the peak. Then a cable car shifted us to a another peak of the mountain to see the volcano site. Another cable car took us to a lake. This was before we aboard a “pirate ship.” Four of us when to Disney World in Orlando a few years ago before the two little ones came into the picture literally. Then finally we took a bus back to our hotel for an yet another amazing dinner. Consider the sleeping on the floor thing a sacrifice, the food is again outstanding.
