A Post-Christmas Present

i went to the box office to get the tickets for $45 a piece. yiga was waiting a few feet away. i turned around to ask for her preference of seats. right there and then, a coupld are approaching her with some tickets and yiga is pointing to me saying something like, "it's too late now." no it's not. it couldn't be a better timing. and they refused to get paid.
how did that come along? tickets, exactly 4 of them for 4 of us. they bought them for a church organization and not enought people showed up for the show. i considered this a god-sent post-christmas gift for us. and still i don't even want to consider the option of church going. there's got to be other options to express my thankfulness.
