this is not about politics

but, U. S. president rode into town for a whilrwind two-day canadian visit intended to mend fences in the wake of the iraq war that our former prime minister jean chretien refused to take part in.

the unrepentant bush insisted, "i'm the kind of fellow who does what I think is right and will continue to do what i think is right. if i think it's right to remove saddam hussein for the security of the united states, that's the course of action i'll take."

it took everybody by surprise that he even sneaked in his demand for ottawa's participation in a ballistic missle defence program. something so major that was not even on his official agenda. but privately, bush might have figured it's a good time to give it a push because now that we canadians really want americans to start eating our beef again.

so not only he does what he thinks is right, he would persistently find a way to make you do what he thinks is right. what does he think he is? is bush a mobster boss?

it's not about if what he does is right or not, politically and morally. it's about if what he does will work or not. i live in canada. i really want the americans big brothers to do well in and around the world.
