Babysitting Olivia

We were babysitting Olivia last night. She had a cute denim dress over a strip shirt. Sienna wanted to get changed to a dress too. I took out her denim dress that has a pink flower deco to go with her pink cashmere. She didn't want it. Instead, she chose an off-white floral dress that is still too big for her now. Olivia was sharp and quick to respond, "It looks like a pyjama!" I said,"Yeah, it's loose. It does look like a pyjama. Do you want to change to the dress like Olivia's?" Softly and firmly, Sienna replied, "No, I am fine. Need to be different."

It was fun to see them play together. I was reading books to them and playing "Little Richard" CD. Just before the door bell rang, Sienna toosed amess the Number/Letter mat and started to reorganize them. I took Olivia's hand and get her to the front door to meet her mommy. Sienna was not behind us. I tried three times to get her out to say "good bye." No response. I went in there, she was putting the mat together. "Your friend is leaving. You don't want to say good-bye?" I tried again. "I am working..." said she. She is such an unswayable little kid. We need to assign her with some science projects soon.
