Visiting the Twins
Mrs L was Sienna's nanny before she started daycare at 22 months. At that time, Mrs L was staying with her daughter's family like now. She was not looking for a job. She didn't have any grand children. But she loves children. That's what we wanted. We paid her handsomely by market standard. She enjoyed her job and Sienna enjoyed her company. We are out here alone in Canada, people whom we get along well became friends and families. Sienna actually calls Mrs L "Grandma" without knowing what it really means.
We left Sienna with Mrs L from time to time for babysitting. Later, she had a grand son Ben, now almost 2 years old. Sienna loves to be the big sister. And now they just had twin daughters. I bought a pair of identical Baby Gap clothing for them. We wanted to go on Sunday. But Sienna fell asleep on the way there. After dinner last night, she asked again, "I haven't been to grandma's house for a long time, Mommy. And I want to see the babies." So we set out.
The twins look everything like real healthy little persons except they are still very very small, weighing around 6 lbs each after a month and half. They fell asleep one after another after we got there. And we were on our way back.
Grandma gave Sienna a bag of chestnuts and a bag of peanuts to snack. Sienna had some chestnuts and decided to save some for Daddy. Then she wanted to open another bag for peanuts. I said, "No." And I explained she just had something and the peanuts shells were going to mess up the car which I just cleaned up. She said, "I want to." We were going back and forth for a few times. I insisted, "Sienna, you don't want to open that bag!" Feeling the firmness in my voice, Sienna burst out laughing, "Mommy, I am only kidding you!"
Well, that's my daughter in a nutshell.
