Flexible Numbers

Last night, Sienna was asking for her seaweed snack. She wanted, specifically "5" pieces. I only wanted to give "4." So we were going back and forth between her "5" and my "4." Finally, she said, "Alright, Mommy, break this one and then it's going to be 5 for me." See, this is the kind of girl I am talking about. She has this instinct to know exactly how to make everybody happy, all at the same time, i.e. herself and others. And in this case, it displays once again her solid understanding of numbers.
