A Day of Accomplishements
I didn't know we could accomplish this much on one day.
First, the furnace guys came. Only then, I knew our old furnace was only 11 years old. We went ahead and replaced it anyways. The old one was not the high-efficiency type. It made the noise of a train coming on you every time the heat was on. And it would slide down scale when you ask it to jump more than one degree at a time. We treated the guys with pizza for lunch.
While the guys were working on the "heart transplant" of the house, I started sorting out the garage. Put aside all the junk to be removed on the garbage day and aligned everything in place. Husband came to do the fun part - the power spray of the floor. What a beautiful day! Not too cold inside and out. I was in my T-shirt with the garage door open.
The last, but not the least important. We made a flap door for Max, our cat. I have been thinking about this for at least 3 years now. Now Max can go in and out of the garage and do his business there. I hated to think the new furnace would have to circulate the bad odor around the house. Sienna was shouting out loud, "Max, come see your new bathroom!"
