The Last Minute Shopping
Yesterday morning, Amy came with her mother for a little visit before they attended a party on our street. They brought in the Christmas present for Sienna. We, on the other hand, didn't have anything under the Christmas tree or in our hand to give them back in return... Embarrassing, huh?! I realized it was the last weekend before Christmas. I am sure a lot of people came to the realization like me. That's why it was so overcrowded everywhere.
Shopping is relatively simple for me though. Somehow, the exquisite Japanese dishes have become my specialty presents to give on all occasions. They are expensive. But they are cheap if you consider how expensive looking they are. All in all, I love them myself so so much. I have this place up north for my one-stop shopping of these dishes. But three of us spent most of the time looking for a parking spot above ground and under...
The original plan was to eat outside and go home with our groceries. Sienna was furiously fighting the idea. "Go home, right now!" She threw a fit when we stopped to pay for a pair of boots for Daddy. As soon as she got in the car, she was her usual cheerful funny self.
She has always been like that since a little baby. You thought she must have some valid reasons to leave, tired or hungry. No... She left the party for the sake of leaving the party. People and crowd are simply not her thing. That's exactly how I feel when I am away from home. So I undetstand. The logic? We decide, personality aside, it has something to do with her having a very warm and loving home that she cannot wait to return to all the time. We are proud parents who provide her with such place and share it with her.
