Boardroom Meeting

Thank god, I am a technical person at work. I don't usually go to meetings, unless they are those "Lunch & Learn" sessions orgazined by HR for the welfare of the employees. Today though, around lunch time, I had to go to for an hour and half meeting. With no lunch, it was all about learning -- a new procedure for requseting network infrastructure changes.

The meeting host A was like, "guys..." Then he took a look at me, "and lady, I am going to go first, if you have any questions..." I looked around and realized that I was the only woman among 13 attendees. I thought women are already a big part of the driving force in the technological world. Only that was not reflected in that boardroom. Most of us speak English with accents. It's nice to see how we new immigrants are working nicely within the system we didn't grow up in...

I was just thinking in my head here and there so that the boardroom meeting didn't run into a boredom. This is the actual boardroom I had the meeting. I hope the company doesn't fire me because I posted here.
