Workbook Wow
Sienna started writing words and numbers well before she turned 3 years old. She has finished about a dozen workbooks like this. I take no part in teaching her how to read and write. She has homeworks and sometimes she doesn't like doing them. I would ask her to sort it out with the teacher. The teacher is the one who wants her to do the work, not me. I only try to help her finish it. If she makes mistakes on the workbook, I will leave it to the teacher to deal with. Some mothers are also teachers to their kids. I am glad in a way that I don't have much of anything else to offer except being a mother. This way, we are more on the same side.
I also take on a cheer leader. I show her workbook to everybody in front of her. This way, I associate the workbook with her pride. I believe pride is different than pressure. She will take the pride in doing the good work and try to keep it up.
