Chitchat With a Mom
We two moms live about 2 minutes drive away, have only one child of the same age going to the same preschool class and take the same route to work in the same area about 1 block away... For the past two years though, I only met P's mom for the third time this morning on my way downtown.
Imagine how naturally we stuck a conversation. The main point was kids could be so different, not just because P being the boy and Sienna the girly girl. She mentioned a kid she knew was taken to a swimming class when he was only 9 months old. Now at age 5, he still wears life-guard, shaking at the pool side. And I mentioned how Sienna requestsed a pair goggles when she finally decided to take showers...
She mentioned Sienna and Olivia chased P. P told his mother, "I read their mind, they want to marry me." I had such a good laugh. I said, "Oh, P totally didn't tell a lie." P was the only name Sienna mentioned she was interested in marrying besides her Daddy. "Why P?" I asked. She answered, "P has a sword." And that is it? Oh, my, what about love? Doesn't love come before anything else? On the second thought, it's far easier for me to teach love is unconditional than love is conditioned. My mother taught me and showed mostly the former.
