Turning to Turnaround

After trying the all natural shea butter series, I turned back to Clinique a few months ago. I still see the beauty of shea butter. I didn't like the added smells in the products. I always liked Clinique the best among all the commercial cosmetics simply because it's clinic-like and fragrance-less.

One day, I decided to get a couple of jars. And then one thing after another, I had my collection back in my cabinet. The sale's rep L is a beautiful girl in her 20s. Even at the peak of her allergy season, her face is glowing and her eyes are glaring. I would be a fool to believe it’s the Clinique products that make her ooze with youth. But I did allow myself to make that association every time I see her.

To encourage my consumption, L made a facial appointment for me today. A girl from the head office gave me a treatment according to my skin type. At the end of it, my face looked so smooth in the mirror. And it felt so good as if it would last forever. I wanted to get all the stuff she put on my face. The biggest irony is I already have all the products except one that she applied on my face.

Why don't I feel the same way every day I apply them myself? Do you think the magic was in her hands? Probably yes. One thing I leant today, a human touch does sell. I don't have faith in these products. I don't believe anything including it's newest and most popular Turnaround Concentrate can turn around my “double-D” (dry & dull) skin. I do need to feel good about doing something about it, this way or that way.

  • I love a good facial.. it makes a great difference. Unfortunately, the facial that i've gotten here so far.. were nothing compared to the one and trusted that i had back home in singapore. I so miss my monthly facial with her.

  • Shea products are not the same thing. Did you try unrefined shea butter, not a product but the actual real thing with all its vitamin intact? Don't worry about the smell, it disappears once you put it on. My skin never looked this smooth and good.
I am giving up all the expensive creams and lotion and switching to all natrual things (one or 2 ingredients) after try everything out there (literally)
Virgin Coconut oil is also really lovely on the skin. I though it would make it oilly but it leaves it very silky. I started with it and now I alternate with shea butter on my face. I knew something was right when my bf said: "your skin looks really good, what did you do?"
