Chasing Down the Royalties
It has nothing to do with the queen and her families in Britain.
My American/French, astrologer/author friend had her book translated and published in China. The whole thing happened so fast. But after a couple of payments. Now they stopped paying her royalties while we have all the evidence to show the book is still a hot item. A couple of days ago, she sent me the translated Chinese book and asked if I could chase them down. She seemed to find the right person.
There are 4 names on the back of the book and two phone numbers. The first number got me to a fax machine. With the second one, I found the switchboard girl. She said she didn't know the guy, the publisher who was in charge of the book's publication. Maybe he left company or the world or something. So I successfully asked for the direct number of the editor-in-chief. I've been trying for two days to no avail. I will try tonight once more. I didn't want to put the main publisher guy on guard by calling other people on the list. But I will find a way to talk with them if I still can't get hold of the publisher of the book. The country was in a booming mode with a lot of opportunities, along with it came many chances of dishonesty and mistrust. It's in the same package. You just have to deal with each situation.
