So Much In Tune
I was driving Sienna to Olivia's house for a play date.
"Sienna, do you think we should go to get our car washed?" Suddenly I asked.
"Ok, our car is so dirty." She jumped on the idea. She loved to watch car being washed from inside.
I turned around and drove along to the gas station.
"Stop, mommy. You passed it." Sienna yelled out. Yeah, I did pass the entrance. So I made a U turn and pulled into the gas station.
"Wow, Sienna, it looks really busy here." I was wondering what to do.
"Let's go. We check it out." Sienna was giving me the instruction.
As I expected, there was a line up of about 6 cars in front of us.
"I know what. Mommy, you drop me off at Olivia's. Then you come right back here." Sienna was talking again.
"I can come any time I want, you know..." I was talking to myself and to her.
"But you don't want me to miss the fun..." Sienna followed my train of thought.
I reminded myself to put down this conversation, almost word for word. It shows a pattern of our relationship. It's like a piece of music played by a couple of instruments, always in tone to each other.
