Just Three of Us

I deliberately miss the piano lesson this morning. I waited till the two sick kids woke up naturally themselves. Two of students after Sienna weren’t going to show up either, so we went for the later lesson. After that, I rushed to get present for a birthday party tomorrow. I made a purchase for the husband’s upcoming birthday. Then I got Sienna home while our friend P and her daughter were already waiting outside for a little play date. This was one of the very few Saturday evenings that we spent alone by ourselves. Just three of us were at a Japanese restaurant drinking sake and eating sashimi. Sienna had cucumber rolls and udon noodles. She was still trying to overcome her cold. I cannot remember when was the last time she got sick. I have the faith that she would bounce back very quickly by sleeping through it.
