Last Minute Shopping

One thing I love to do and am good at is getting appropriate presents for appreciative families and friends. It became increasingly difficult to buy presents to bring back to China. It's like whatever you get them, they have it there and only much cheaper. I remember one year, I bought VHS "Lion King" for my nephew. It was $24.99. Then I saw in China it's VCD version dubbed fully in Chinese. It was about $5.00…

So I learnt, either you buy them something decent in China. Or you have to buy them something that they know and that costs more there. Some of those things are perfumes and cosmetics. I had no stress going back to China now. I would get a load at the duty free shop or I would buy on the airplane. Those are guaranteed popular items.

Today, I am going back to the mall for presents again. I don’t even use perfumes myself and certainly don't want to be a permanent perfume supplier. I thought of something else in Canada that I am sure I can convince them to appreciate. How about Canadian leather products from D? So one day before we took off, I got a bagful of leather bags for everybody in the family.
