Shanghai, Here We Come
It was a last minute decision. We changed our plane tickets to leave today instead of tomorrow. We wanted to pay a little visit to our dear friends of many years and their 3.5 year old daughter Clare.
We arrived here and got picked up around 1:30pm. They live inside an exclusive park-setting compound for foreign expats. There are 150 individual houses, each with unique style. Our friends have a nanny during the day and a 24-hour driver on call. At night, they call in someone for a massage session… Hard to imagine just how life could be any better than this.
Clare is an amazing little girl. Since Sienna was such a talker when she was little, Lui and I decided that we would rather kids who talk less instead of constantly talking nonsense. Yet Clare is a talker and she makes a lot of sense. She is very much advanced for her age, probably due to her extensive traveling experience with her parents. Sienna had some really good time with her.
