Piggybank Project
Sienna has been putting coins into this jar for the past few months. It was completely full when it read $168.53. We sorted the coins and brought them to the bank branch this morning. Sienna got some 8 $20 bills from the bank teller. For the second part of the project, I wanted to help her spend every penny of the sum so that she will get an idea as how things are worth money-wise. In the future, when I say that I don’t want to buy something that she wants, she will not protest as if I am the one devil who stops ice cream, candies and all the goodies from falling down from the sky… It has been proven to be a very effective project. She was going to get a throwing ball. Then she gave it another thought for that $16.99. Plus tax, she would have to let go that one $20 bill. She did then get a hair dying kit at the expense of two $20 bills. From her perspective, it was totally worth it.
