Give and Take of Privileges

It was a beautiful day today. My poor baby was deprived the privilege of enjoying the day fully because she wasn’t practicing her piano well.

The rules are if she whines 5 times and over, she will lose her privileges of snacking and TV watching for the next day. Since it is a Sunday, the privileges extend to going out to play with her friends. It’s not easy for me to stick to the rules. I don’t know what other parents do. With all my efforts, my piano teacher friend implied that I have not been tough enough. In her eyes, me my child’s great potential and has not been dug and utilized at all.

I must admit that my daughter is such a potential talent since a piano teacher of hundred students sees her as one. I must admit being a musical deaf myself I have no privilege of helping her except the exercising the give and take of her privileges…

Later on, P and her daughter came and we went out to have dinner together. That made me happy. Sienna got her happy time without the rule breaking on my part.
