Daddy’s Role

The recital is coming up on Saturday evening. Sienna is going to play the good old “Old McDonald Had a Farm.” It is not the baby version but an upgrade with variations. Then she will play a 2-minute jazz number, the “Pink Panther” theme song. We are so pleased with the way she’s coming around with it. I am a bit nervous about recital. It was a good sign that she used the better word,“excited.”

When Sienna practices her piano, Daddy would still work on his painting. If she does her job well, Daddy would drop his brush and clap. If she does her job better, Daddy would open his studio door and come out and clap. If she does unusually well, he would come out and step up on the stairs and clap…Things are looking very good. Daddy even comes upstairs to stand besides the piano and clap…
