Music in the Air
Someone who left comments on Sienna’s piano recital clip turns out to be a music critic. He went to over 4,000 concerts and wrote as many reviews. And he just had to say something about Sienna’s playing. Isn’t that something?! He wrote “I loved little Sienna’s playing and I am sure she will make surprising progress within two years.” I don’t give it a second for fantasy that my daughter would be anywhere near Lang Lang. I am just very sure that she would benefit tremendously from her music experience, playing piano being part of it. Being a near deaf to music, I have purposely and meticulously created a musical environment which she considers part of her reality. Without music, it’s like without air to her. Here is another conversation between us, the mother and the daughter.
“You know playing piano is very very...”
“Important?”
“Right. Your hands are connected to your brain. When you play the piano with your hands, you brain gets trained too. You will become smarter...”
“Mommy, when you are done talking, can you please turn the radio on?”
